Ok, now that the backup is paused, make sure the "Backup Schedule" is on "Continuously" which is the default. Don't click it twice thinking that will help. I'll try to explain some of them down below, but to get to the point, here is how you backup your data: First, if Backblaze is transmitting files, click "Pause Backup" ONCE - then don't touch anything else for at least 10 seconds and wait for the backup to pause. Ok, so Backblaze has various estimates of upload time in various places, and they often confuse customers. (for UI/UX purposes, all this info should really be on one webpage)ĭisclaimer: I work at Backblaze and wrote a lot of the Backblaze Personal Backup Client. See screenshot of stats and settings below. I'm not sure which server location im backing up to because the speed test has given me to different locations when i do the speed test.
#Backblaze has released their first stats mac
(I'm on a Mac with Catalina, 32GB memory, 2.3 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 2, 1TB HD) Why would it take 32 days? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! (I did the backup time test and the speedtest and when temporarily paused Backblaze) However, when i click "How long will my first backup take, it brings me to a page that says 32 Days. I have # of threads set at 7 and i says i should be able to backup 1222 GB/Day, That would mean that i should be able to backup the remaining 2,345,875 MB in 2 Days or so. I'm trying to upload the remaining 2,345,875 MB for my initial backup.
